The 'Free Up Space' feature on JioCloud enables you to efficiently manage your device's storage by removing files that have already been backed up to JioCloud. When activated, this feature identifies and allows you to delete those files from your mobile device, thereby creating additional storage space for new content.
Note: This functionality is exclusively available on mobile devices.
The 'Free up Device' option is selected on JioCloud, files of the types of Photos, Videos, Audio, and Documents are deleted from the device. This includes files that have been automatically backed up or manually uploaded to JioCloud.
For Android users, access the top-left Menu (Hamburger Menu); for iOS users, navigate to the More menu.
Select the ‘Free up space’ option.
Upon activation, JioCloud will scan and identify files that have already been backed up and are eligible for deletion from your device. The app will display the total storage space these files occupy.
If you wish to proceed with the cleanup, tap the ‘Free up’ button to remove the files. Should you choose to opt out during the deletion process, any files not deleted will remain on your device.
To retrieve deleted files from your phone using JioCloud, follow these steps: Open the JioCloud application and navigate to the section where your deleted files are stored. From there, you can download the files you wish to recover back onto your device.
