Why are disabled folders still being backed up on JioCloud?

First, please verify that the desired folder is selected for auto backup.

To address the issue of certain folders being backed up despite being disabled in the auto-backup settings, please follow these steps to ensure the folders are correctly unselected:

  • Open the JioCloud app on your Android device and access the menu by tapping the left menu icon.
  • Navigate to 'Settings'.
  • Select 'Auto Backup'.
  • Verify that the folders you wish to exclude from backup are not selected.

If the folders you intend to exclude are still selected, unselect them to stop the auto-upload for these folders.

If you have confirmed that the folders are unselected and they are still being backed up, the issue may be due to cached data in the app. Cached data can sometimes cause errors, leading to unintended uploads. To resolve this, you need to clear the cache for the JioCloud app on your Android device.

Follow these steps to clear the cache:

  • Long-press the JioCloud app icon and select 'App Info'.
  • Go to 'Storage'.
  • Tap 'Clear Cache' to remove the cached data.
