Enabling battery optimization for JioCloud on Android could impact the background upload feature of JioCloud, as Android OS restricts application operations in the background to improve battery life. To ensure your files are always backed up in background, you need to disable battery optimization for JioCloud on Android.

If you have a devcie which is running on stock Android like Pixel devices, please follow the below steps to disable battery optimization:

  • Open Android Settings on your phone.
  • Search for ‘Device care’ or ‘Battery’.
  • Go to ‘Battery Optimization’.
  • From the list of apps, search for JioCloud.
  • Select ‘Don't Optimize’.
  • Click on ‘Done’.

If you have a Samsung device, there is a different setting that limits background activity. To change this setting for JioCloud, please follow the below steps:

  • Open Android Settings on your phone.
  • Search for 'Battery and device care' setting.
  • Tap on 'Battery'.
  • Click on 'Background usage limits'.
  • Move to 'Never sleeping apps'.
  • Tap on “+” (plus sign).
  • Choose the JioCloud app from the list.
  • Click on 'Add'.

Similarly for Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco devices with Android 10, 11, and 12, there is another setting that limits background activity. To change this setting for JioCloud.

  • Open Android Settings on your phone.
  • Go to Apps
  • Go to Manage apps.
  • Select JioCloud from the list, or use the search field.
  • Enable Autostart.
  • A pop-up message will appear. Allow Autostart by clicking 'OK'.
  • Go to 'Battery saver'
  • Select 'No restrictions'
