Document Scanner

To commence document scanning on the JioCloud app:

  • On the JioCloud Android or iOS app, navigate to the 'My Files' screen and tap the ‘+’ button, then select 'Scan Document'.
  • Alternatively, you can access the 'Scan Document' option through the Hamburger menu on Android or the More section on iOS.

The document scanning process on JioCloud encompasses several detailed steps:

  • Capture or Select Images: You can initiate the process by either using your device’s camera to capture photographs of the physical document or by selecting existing images from your gallery. The interface allows you to adjust the photo boundaries to precisely select the desired content.
  • Edit Photos: A range of editing options is available to enhance your images. You can rotate the photos, apply filters, adjust the boundaries, and reorder the pages as needed to improve clarity and presentation.
  • Save and Share: You can save the edited images as either PDF or JPEG files. These files are automatically uploaded to JioCloud. You can then share them via the sharing feature provided. PDFs can be accessed swiftly under the ‘My Files’ -> ‘My Scans’ section, while JPEGs will be in the ‘Photos’ section.

Within the JioCloud application, users are provided with the choice to either select images from their Gallery or capture new images using the Camera. The feature allows for a combination of images sourced from both methods. When capturing images with the Camera, you will be directed to a preview screen where you can crop the image before finalizing it. All selected images are stored, and a count of the images is displayed. Images are arranged sequentially according to their order of capture or selection from the Gallery (from 1 to n).

Yes, you can indeed preview the images you have selected using the JioCloud document scanner feature. On the preview screen, you can adjust the image borders to refine the portion of the image you wish to retain. Cropping from both the edges and corners is available. Additionally, you have two options: you may choose to proceed, which will save the file either as an image or a PDF for the next stage, or select "Retake," which will discard the current preview image and return you to the previous screen to capture a new image.

Selecting the 'X' button will prompt the JioCloud Document Scanner module to close, resulting in the loss of any unsaved progress. Before this action is finalized, a warning dialog will appear, stating, "All scanned and added items will be lost." You will then have two options: 'Continue' or 'Discard.'

Before finalizing your scan on the JioCloud Document Scanner, you can execute the following operations on your images:

  • Add Image: Integrate additional images into your scan.
  • Rotate Image: Adjust the orientation of the image.
  • Crop Image: Trim the image to remove unwanted sections.
  • Add Filter: Apply various filters to enhance image quality.
  • Re-order: Rearrange the sequence of images as needed.
  • Delete: Remove any image from the scan.

On JioCloud, you have two primary options for saving your scanned documents:

  • Save as Image: Each scanned document will be saved individually as an image file and subsequently uploaded to JioCloud. The files will be named sequentially (e.g., Filename-1, Filename-2, etc.).
  • Save as PDF: All scanned images will be compiled into a single PDF document, which will then be saved to JioCloud.

In JioCloud, you can find your scanned documents under the ‘My Scans’ section within the ‘My Files’ tab. By selecting this option, you will be presented with a comprehensive list of all the documents you have scanned.
