We utilize TLS/SSL encryption to secure data transmissions between JioCloud clients (including Android, iOS, and web applications) and our servers. Data security is paramount at JioCloud, and we employ stringent safety measures to uphold it. Our servers are hosted in highly secure Jio Data Centers, and we are accredited with MeitY. Additionally, our cloud infrastructure holds certifications for ISO 27001:2013, ISO 20000-1:2011, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, and ISO 20000-9, underscoring our commitment to exceptional security standards.

JioCloud places the highest priority on the protection of data privacy and integrity. The platform rigorously ensures that user personal data remains confidential and is not disseminated to any third parties or unauthorized individuals under any circumstances. Users have the exclusive ability to share their data with others solely through the application's designated sharing feature if they so choose. 

Furthermore, to enhance security, JioCloud provides an optional passphrase-based lock feature, available on Android, iOS, and web application clients. This additional layer of protection enhances the safeguarding of user accounts and their associated data. 

No, third parties cannot access the personal data stored by users on JioCloud without their explicit permission and knowledge.

Yes, JioCloud offers an additional layer of security through the option to enable Passphrase-based protection for your account. This allows you to establish a robust alphanumeric password for enhanced security. 

On the JioCloud Android and iOS apps: 

  • Navigate to the 'Security' option (Settings -> Security). 
  • Select ‘Custom Passphrase’ from the Security section. 
  • You will then be prompted to set an alphanumeric passphrase. Once established, it will be activated. 

On the JioCloud website: 

  • Access the 'Profile Page' by clicking on your username in the hamburger menu. 
  • Enable the 'Custom Passphrase' toggle. 
  • This action will present an option to set an alphanumeric passphrase. Once configured, it will be applied. 

To disable the passphrase on the JioCloud Android and iOS apps, follow these steps: 

  • Navigate to the Security option (Settings -> Security). 
  • In the 'Security' section, you will find a list of options. Select either 'None' or 'Device Lock' to deactivate the custom passphrase. 

For the JioCloud website: 

  • Access the 'Profile Page' by clicking on your username in the hamburger menu. 
  • On the Profile Page, locate the toggle switch for 'Custom Passphrase' and turn it off. 
  • You will be prompted to enter your current passphrase for verification purposes. Once entered correctly, the passphrase will be disabled across all your devices. the custom passphrase. 

To reset your passphrase on the JioCloud Android or iOS apps: 

  • Navigate to the Security section by selecting Settings followed by Security. 
  • In the Security section, you will find a list of options. If you have previously set and enabled a Custom Passphrase, an option labeled Reset passphrase will appear below it. 
  • Tap on Reset passphrase to initiate the process of resetting your passphrase and establishing a new one. 

To reset your passphrase on the JioCloud website: 

  • Access your Profile Page by clicking on your username in the hamburger menu. 
  • On the Profile Page, if you have set and enabled a Custom Passphrase, you will find the Reset passphrase option located beneath the Custom Passphrase section. 
  • Click on Reset passphrase to proceed with resetting your passphrase and creating a new one. 

Yes, once you activate the passphrase feature for your JioCloud account, it will be enforced on all devices used to access JioCloud. 

When reactivating passphrase protection for your JioCloud account, you are required to enter a new passphrase. However, you are permitted to use the same passphrase that you previously utilized.
