Contacts Backup, Restore & Merge

Using the JioCloud app on Android or iOS, you can either set up automatic contact backups or manually upload your contacts as needed.

To enable automatic backups, navigate to 'Settings' -> 'AutoBackup'. This feature ensures that any changes to your device contacts are automatically synchronized with the JioCloud server.

For manual backup, go to the 'Contacts' tab on your mobile device and click the backup icon located at the bottom right corner to manually upload your contacts.

To restore your backed-up contacts using the JioCloud app, follow these steps:

  • Navigate to the 'Contacts' screen.
  • Select the 'Restore' option from the menu.
  • You will see the last backup date along with the device name and the number of contacts backed up in that cycle.
  • Choose the specific backup you wish to restore.
  • Once selected, the contacts will be restored to your device

To restore an individual contact from JioCloud to your device, follow these steps:

  • Open the JioCloud app and navigate to the 'Contacts' tab.
  • Select the desired contact and click on the options menu next to it.
  • Choose 'Copy to this device' to restore the contact.

To merge duplicate contacts on JioCloud, follow these steps:

  • Navigate to the 'Contacts' section.
  • Click on the top-right menu.
  • Select the 'Merge' option.

If duplicates are detected, they will be displayed for you. You have the option to merge individual duplicates or merge all duplicates at once.

Contacts are identified as duplicates if they share any of the following:

  • First and last name
  • Mobile or phone number
  • Email address
